Day 01

San Jose City

 Arrival at the San Jose International Airport where you will be met by our tour guide as you step off your plane. And you will be taken to the Best Western Plus San Jose which is located a 10 minute ride by Van from the airport. There you will spend your first night in Costa Rica.

Accommodations here are provided in a non-smoking �garden and pool view Plus room� with a king bed or 2 double size beds, bathroom with hot water and tub, hair dryer, bath robe and sleepers. Plus air conditioning, Cable TV, phone line, alarm clock radio, desk and chair, free unlimited local and international calls, high speed Wi-Fi internet access, coffee maker with coffee and tea bags, iron with Ironing table, safety box, free use of any of the hotel�s meeting rooms, and 24 hour room service.

Hotel�s guests also have access to the following amenities: a 24 hour Denny�s restaurant, a lounge bar and restaurant, a big Casino, a nice outdoor pool and jacuzzi, lush tropical gardens, free use of the hotel�s mega gym, and a fully equipped Spa.� Plus a 24 hour business center, free Wi-Fi in the common areas, money exchange office, self-service laundry area, a souvenirs shop, and meeting rooms .

For this day, also included is a tour to choose from, either a San Jose City guided tour starting at 1:30 pm. Or a tour in the evening that will take you out to experience the rich Gay Night Life that San Jose City has to offer. (This is a 4 hour guided tour, starting at 9 pm)

What to bring for tour: comfortable clothing and shoes, camera, and a light jacket or sweater.

Day 02

Tortuguero Canals

 At 6 am, you will travel with a bilingual naturalist guide on an air conditioned bus, driving through Braulio Carrillo National Park, you will have the opportunity to see beautiful views and abundant rain forest vegetation. On the way we will stop for breakfast at a typical Costa Rican restaurant.  After breakfast the trip will continue to La Pavona harbor, passing banana plantations on the way.

At La Pavona, a covered boat will be waiting to take you to the Laguna Lodge or Mawamba Lodge passing the Tortuguero Canals, and arriving at the hotel about 1 p.m.  The staff will greet you with a refreshing cocktail, your rooms will be assigned and the guide will explain the afternoon activities.

Included in the activities after lunch is a visit to the private reserve of the hotel, and a stop in the colorful town of Tortuguero.

You will return to the lodge about 5:30 p.m. and have free time to enjoy the main beach of Tortuguero, the pool, the bar service and prepare for dinner. The Dinner (which is included in the package) is served in the hotel`s restaurant from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. and the rest of the night will be at your leisure for relaxing and to enjoy the surroundings.

What to bring for tour: comfortable clothing and shoes, hat or cap, camera, binoculars, sun lotion and glasses.

Note: From July to October is the "Sea Turtles arribada season � when hundreds of Hawksbill, Loggerhead, Leatherback and Green Turtles arrive at night on the beaches of Tortuguero. So this is another reason to visit Tortuguero on this trip.

And from mid September to late December is the birthing season of the baby turtles which is also an amazing experience to enjoy if you are visiting Totruguero during these months.

Day 03

Arenal Volcano

After breakfast, you will check out of the hotel and join a guided boat tour on the Tortuguero canals where you will enjoy abundant flora, fauna and sea life, including manaties, sea turtles, many kinds of birds and reptiles, and many plants and trees, including orchids, bromelias, and huge almond trees. This tour also includes guided walks on some of the best natural trails in the Tortuguero National Park.

The tour ends at La Pavona where our bus will be waiting to take you to the beautiful town of La Fortuna, where the impressive Arenal Volcano is located (This is a five hour ride in a minibus. It includes a one hour stop at a restaurant on the route for lunch, which is included.  The arrival time in La Fortuna is about 4 pm)

On your arrival, you will check in at the Arenal Springs Resort & Spa in a spacious �Junior Suite� with a king bed or two queen size beds, deluxe bathroom, air conditioning, Cable TV, free wi-fi internet access, a good assorted mini bar, and a furnished terrace that offers beautiful views of the Arenal Volcano and the gardens of the hotel.

The hotel also offers awesome views of the volcano and its own Hot Springs complex. Plus a nice outdoor pool with wet bar, three restaurants, a gym, a fully equipped Spa, a Yoga deck, and also there are acres of beautiful tropical gardens.

After check-in, the rest of the day is at your leisure for relaxing and make use of the hotel amenities.

The dinner for this day is on your own at any of the Hotel`s restaurants.

Day 04

Arenal Volcano

 After breakfast, you will have the rest of the day at your leisure for relaxing and making use of the hotel amenities.

Some activities available in La Fortuna area that you can add to your Itinerary for this day are: white water rafting, canyoneering, cave spelunking, kayaking and fly boarding on Lake Arenal, fresh water fishing, zip lining tour, world class bird watching, ATV and horseback rides, and more.

Lunch and dinner for this day are on your own at any of the Hotel`s restaurants.

Day 05

Manuel Antonio Beach

After breakfast, you will be transported to the world famous Manuel Antonio beach, on the Costa Rican Central Pacific coast (This is a five hour ride by shuttle or minibus. Pick up time at the hotel is at 8:30 am)

You will check-in at the boutique Hotel Villa Roca in a spacious room featuring a king bed or two double size beds, a private bathroom with hot water, and a beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean.

This hotel also offers lush tropical gardens, a clothing optional pool with Jacuzzi, and beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean and the beaches of Manuel Antonio.

The dinner for this day is on your own at any of the many restaurants located a short walking distance from the hotel.

Note: This night our van will be available to bring you to a restaurant or a gay bar or discoteque in Manuel Antonio or Quepos and to bring you back to the hotel � you only have to request this service which is available until 12 am .

Day 06

Manuel Antonio Beach

After breakfast, you will have time for rest and relaxation at the hotel, or to explore the beaches of Manuel Antonio on your own.

Note: This morning our van will be available to take you to the main beach of Manuel Antonio and bring you back to the hotel.  This service is a courtesy of our agency. 

Some activities available in Manuel Antonio and Quepos area that you can add to your Itinerary for this day are: white water rafting, sea kayaking, parasailing, world class diving and sport fishing, rapelling and cliff diving, guided walking in Manuel Antonio or Carara National Park, zip lining tour, sunset cruise in Manuel Antonio Bay, ATV and horseback rides, and more.

After breakfast, you will have the rest of the day at your leisure for relaxing, make use of the hotel amenities, or to explore the beautiful Manuel Antonio and Quepos area on your own.

Note: This morning our van will be available to take you to the main beach of Manuel Antonio and bring you back to the hotel.  This service is a courtesy of our agency. 

And you are free to add any of the many daytime activities available in the Manuel Antonio and Quepos area to your itinerary for this day.
